MANILA, continued
THE SHELL ECO MARATHON BLOCKED STREETS AND ADDED TO THE HORRENDOUS TRAFFIC ON ALL THE CITY STREETS
JEEPNNEYS. LOCALS PACK INTO THESE QUAZI BUSES SINCE THEY ARE THE MOST REASONABLE SOURCE OF TRANSPORTATION. ORIGINALLY THEY WERE MADE FROM JEEPS THAT WERE LEFT BY THE AMERICANS AFTER WW11
THEY ARE VERY DECORATIVE AND UNIQUE TO THE OWNER
HORSE AND CARRIAGE ANOTHER FORM OF TRANSPORTATION THAT YOU SEE EVERYWHERE
THE SCOOTER DRIVEN MOSTLY BY TEENS WEAVING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC AT HIGH SPEEDS
ALL OF THE ABOVE PLUS BIKES AND CARS AND TRUCKS ARE ON THE STREETS AT THE SAME TIME. AFTER SEEING AND BEING INVOLVED IN THIS TRAFFIC I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT THE DRIVERS IN BOCA.
MANILA SKYLINE
We visited the San Agustin Church as well. It is the second oldest stone Church in the country. Interesting this is the only building that survived the bombing in WW11. Pictures did not upload.
As we got ready to leave the dock a high school band with their twirlers played popular music as they waved and said their goodbyes. A stark difference to the traditional morning welcome. Both were beautiful. Sorry, the only pictures that I have is a video and it will not upload.
