CORFU, GREECE (day 112)

CORFU is the greenest & it is said that it s the prettiest of the GREEK ISLANDS. The waters turquoise, the mountains are green, and the buildings are ocher-pink. Bougainvillea, roses, and wisteria, seem to grow wild & spread over & around the cottages. The architecture reflects the centuries of Venetian, French, & British rule which gives CORFU a pleasant combination of contrasting design elements. Through the centuries CORFU has inspired artists, conquers, royalty and of course tourists.
