AT SEA (29th day of our journey)

Yes, we are at sea. This time "at sea" is included in the itinerary so we are geared for the time watching the seas roll by as we coast comfortably through the ocean...

Fortunately, I have my iPad packed with books so that I can read one after the other. Thanks Sheila!

Today in-between reading my book and contemplating the ocean I realized that I was so  busy thinking about my shopping I forgot to mention something we observed in Tahiti which we found rather unusual. While shopping we stopped to talk to a vendor who was making a tool to pick Mangos from the trees. It is indifferent kind of craft and we became interested in the macrame that he was doing. Sorry I did not get a picture. We were having a friendly chat and I noticed a lit "joint" hanging casually from his lip.  He was not at all self conscious about his smoke and I was not going to bring any attention to it. We thanked him for showing us his craft, I shrugged my shoulders and we went on. After that we noticed many of the venders were smoking marijuana. I could not tell you if the "weed" effected their behavior or not, since I do not know what their baseline behavior is like?Something for sure that you would definitely not see in the U.S.

Tomorrow is another day at sea. We are getting closer to NEW ZELAND crossing the INTERNATIONAL  DATE LINE!
